What’s Going On In The World.
It’s pretty evident that the world and its inhabitants are struggling. It seems like everywhere we turn, there’s some tragedy or heartache. One only has to turn on virtually any media source to find it filled with current or pending disasters. This constant stream of adverse events has been especially prevalent over the past years. There has been the Covid 19 pandemic, global warming, droughts, fires, the war in Russia and Ukraine, and almost daily shootings and mass killings in the United States.

Over the past years, it can be tough to remember (until you experience one) that kindness and acts of kindness still exist during all this pain and suffering. And boy, is it welcome when it occurs, and do we need it now more than ever!
The good news is that kindness has not gone away. I know that there are times when it does not feel this way. When you are driving down a highway and have been cut off for the 10th time, it can feel as if kindness is dead. And then one courteous person leaves a gap so you can slide in, and instantly, a positive sensation fills your body, and you remember the power of kindness. Is that you remember this fantastic human trait, which could change the world in a good way if we only focused on using it more.
What Is Kindness and Why Do We Need More of It Right Now

What Is the meaning of Kindness?
So, you might be asking, what exactly are you referring to when you speak of kindness, and why is it so important? Read on to find out.

In its simplest form, kindness is the quality of being good, gentle, caring, and helpful. Kindness means being considerate and helpful to others. It involves acting in a way that produces and fosters positive feelings. For ourselves and the people around us, kindness is one of the most important qualities we can possess and acts as a driving force to make the world a better place!
What does kindness mean to you?
Have you given much thought about what kindness means to you. How do yo know if someone is being kind to you?
To help you with this question, kindness, to me, is simply being good to others for the sake of being good. It’s being mindful of their well-being and happiness, and making choices that reflect that. It’s not just about randomly performing acts of kindness, but about having a general state of mind where you’re looking out for others and wanting to make things better for them.
Kindness is also about being loving and compassionate, even when others may not deserve it. In a world that can often be harsh and unforgiving, I think it’s important to try to spread as much kindness as we can. Because at the end of the day, we all want to be happy and loved. Kindness is the best way to make that happen.
Take some time and think about what kindness means to you and how you can give and receive more of it. And remember, kindness is not weakness, in fact just the opposite.
Kindness Starts at Home

Kindness begins with ourselves: when we are kind to ourselves, we open up to the possibility of being kind to others. From there, it’s as if it creates a domino effect. When you show kindness to others, you not only make them feel good, but you also inspire them to act in ways themselves.

It has the power to instantly cause us to feel happy and can even change the state of affairs in the world for the better.

Everyone has the capacity for kindness, but sometimes we need reminding to express it more often. A little act of kindness can go a long way in making someone’s day – and ultimately making the world a better place. So, let’s all try to be a little kinder to one another today. Why Do We Need More Kindness in the World in 2022 and beyond
I’m sure for some of you, and this seems obvious. After two years of a lockdown, it seems everybody’s temper is brittle. I have watched this myself. For example, drivers trying to get ahead one second faster has resulted in my almost being hit five times in a marked crosswalk over the last year.
Kindness is one of the most essential qualities we can possess and foster. It is a robust personal quality that makes us feel good about ourselves and about others. It helps us to love and be loved. It is a fantastic quality that can instantly change our mood from doom and gloom, resulting in increased levels of happiness and well-being.
With the world’s state of affairs today, we need more kindness now more than ever before. The world is (or at least seems) full of anger, hatred, and violence. There is too much fighting, judgment, anger, fear, and not enough loving and compassion for ourselves and our fellow man. We need more compassion and understanding, and it needs to come from all of us.
What Are the Benefits of Being Kind?
Kindness is often thought of as a personality trait or something that comes naturally to some people. However, being kind is a skill that can be learned, practiced, and mastered. And there are many good reasons to do so.
For one thing, Kind people are generally happier and more content than those who are not. Kindness has also been shown to be good for physical health. Studies have shown that Kind people have lower blood pressure and longer lifespans.
Furthermore, kindness can be very contagious. One person filled with joy and love can change the room’s mood, city, and country in the world. When any of us are kind to others, we not only make the other parties feel better about themselves and the world, but we also make ourselves feel good.
Finally, kind people tend to be more successful in life. This added success may be because kindness creates a sense of trust and goodwill, leading to beneficial opportunities.
So, the next time you consider being unkind to someone, remember that being kind is not only the right thing to do, but it is also suitable for you in many ways.
